DAYTIME APPROACH
Alicante Bay is recognisable by the hills surrounding the city. The nearby mountain ranges, the headlands of La Huerta and Santa Pola, and the island of Tabarca are also visible. Approaching from the south, pass the Levante breakwater 50 m to starboard, enter the outer harbour on a north-easterly course, with the harbour entrance on the port side and the Marina Deportiva to starboard.
NIGHT-TIME APPROACH
The approach is clearly marked and identifiable by lights. The green light on the Levante breakwater is visible; this is left 50 m to starboard as you enter the outer harbour on a north-easterly course. The red lights of the basins are to port, and the red and green lights mark the entrance to the inner basin, with the Alicante Marina to starboard.
